to use my free software and book "fundamentals of
compressible flow.''
The software and the book can be download
at www.potto.org.
This is the only book which describes
how to calculate the different parameters for oblique shock analytically.
Prove ``why the common believe in the continuous oblique shock'' is
incorrect.
This book is the only book which treats the flow realistically as bounded
between upper limit of isothermal flow and the lower limit
adiabatic (Fanno flow).
This book also provides an extensive discussion on the evacuating and filling
gaseous chambers from rigid to flexible.
This book also provides many original material which was
not published before like the for moving shocks.

Hi Dr. Bar-Meir,

This is the first time I have heard of the Potto project, and I am very impressed. I pulled up the screenshot for the Prandlt-Meyer expansion calculator, and it looks like you have but in a great deal of effort to providing well-built, valuable tools.

Quick question for you, I read on your mission statement that you are trying to publish text books. I only found calculators on the project website though. How much has already been done? What types of books are you focusing your efforts on?

Thank you for your compliment.
In addition to the software,
I have written two books and the third one is in process.
The third book ``Basics of Fluid Mechanics'' will be published
by first or second week of April 2008.

Currently, the first two books can be downloaded here

You can also obtain the most detailed gas dynamics tables
on www.potto.org/downloads.php.
The table is available in source(latex) or php
formats.
